Andrew Cuk is
the founder and artistic director of Canis Tempus, a movement-based
company with a unique approach to theatre.
He has extensive experience as a performer, director
and teacher, and has worked in places all across North America and Europe.
A native of New York City, Andy’s acting credits in the Montreal area include the title role in the California-based Lit Moon Theatre Company production of Hamlet; Juliet in Juliet & Romeo, a Canis Tempus production; and George Stacey in the world premier of the musical Louisa.
He has written and directed two productions in recent years: Quixote for Canis Tempus, and Elektra at John Abbott College, where Andy is on faculty of the Department of Theatre and Music.
Other recent directorial credits include The Day They Let the Lions Loose, Evita, Not Wanted on the Voyage, Cloud Nine, and the premier of the musical Daisy and the Wonder Weeds for The Next Wave Musical Theatre Festival.
Andy is the President of the Board of Directors of Playwrights’ Workshop Montréal.
